You are warmly invited to special evening event exploring the powerful practice of Yin Yoga.
Most yoga practiced in the West is ‘Yang’ in nature, exercising the muscles. Yin Yoga aims to stretch the joints, fascia and connective tissue by sitting in postures for long periods of time (around 5-7 minutes) allowing the muscles to relax. Yin yoga is a perfect compliment to Yang yoga, as it helps to keep the joints supple, making them less prone to injury.
Fiona will explain the fundamental principles of Yin Yoga and how it can support your regular asana practice. She will guide you through postures that target the joints most used in vinyasa yoga. The evening will end with meditation and relaxation.
