What is yoga?

Yoga is an ancient form of exercise that boosts physical and mental wellbeing. The two main components of yoga are postures – a series of movements designed to increase strength and flexibility – and breathing.

People practice yoga for all sorts of reasons including fitness, improving muscle tone, flexibility, strength and posture, and for overall physical wellbeing. The practice of yoga also positively affects your mental health, helping you to cope with stress and anxiety, improving your focus and concentration. Most of our yoga classes also include mindfulness, meditation and relaxation techniques.
