Our Rest and Relaxation Workshop is a three hour restful Yoga practice combining guided meditation, breathing techniques, Yin postures and Yoga Nidra.
Naomi will help you find a comfort throughout this workshop – first in a short guided meditation, then moving in to an Introduction to Nadi Shodhana Pranayama (breathing practice). Nadi Shodhana is known to help calm your mind, this can be used in day to day life as a technique to handle stressful situations.
The Pranayama practice flows in to our two hours of Yin postures. Yin poses are held and supported with props and offer a chance to enjoy complete stillness. When you allow yourself to stay present and experience shifts in your mind and body that occur while holding a Yin posture, time opens up. Deadlines, commitments, pressing matters, and to-do lists fade to the background, leaving space for rest and renewal.
To close the practise Naomi will guide you through a Yoga Nidra – a deep relaxation where you can find yourself in a lovely state of consciousness between waking and sleeping.
This practice is open to all – no need for any previous experience.
