Yang to Yin workshop with India Hewitt

This Yin & Yang Yoga workshop will combine warming, dynamic, fluid sequences with restful, deep, rejuvenating postures. Over two and a half hours, we will balance strength and flexibility in yang with introspection and mindfulness in yin.
The first half of the workshop – the yang, or vinyasa – will be strong and dynamic. We will practice expressively, fluidly and creatively. Prepare to sweat a little, be challenged, have fun, and breathe loudly and deeply.
The yin half of the class is soft and slow – poses will be held for up to six minutes. We will work within the three familiar aspects of yin yoga – the physical (the bones, muscles and connective tissue), the energetic (the subtle body, meridian and myofascial lines), and the emotional (allowing the body to drop down into the parasympathetic nervous system).
The workshop will be suitable to all, although please note that we will be in a near constant practice (with toilet breaks) for the whole two and a half hours so some experience of yoga is recommended although not compulsory.
