Portrait of Yoga Teacher Sarah Hague

Sarah Hague

Sarah was first introduced to yoga at the age of 16. Since that time she has trained with many teachers throughout the world and through them has practiced Atma Vikasa, Ashtanga, Iyengar, Hatha, Vini, Vinyasa and Yin yoga.

More recently Sarah has become fascinated with the breath and spent several years training with Robyn Rothenberg and Patrick McKeown.

The inspiration for her teaching comes from all these different traditions and more. Rather than dogmatically follow any one particular sequence of postures, she likes to draw on all these influences to keep her classes engaging while weaving accessible breathwork throughout.

She began teaching in 2000 and was certified to teach by the British Wheel of Yoga in 2007. She also holds certification to teach ‘pregnancy yoga’ and ‘postnatal recovery and baby yoga’. She completed a degree in physiotherapy in 2004.

Having studied Yoga for Pregnancy and Postnatal Recovery and Baby Yoga with Uma Dinsmore Tuli in 2007 and 2008 respectively, she begun her training in ‘Active Birth’ with Janet Balaskas in 2011. This was put on hold due to the arrival of her second child but she completed her training in 2015 and now specialises in the use of Yoga for Active Birth.
