Portrait of Yoga Teacher Manjunaga

Manjunaga

Manjunaga’s introduction to yoga practice began in 1998, when he attended yoga classes at Bodywise in Manchester. After many years of exploration in his own yoga practice, he began his teacher training with Simon Low and the Yoga Academy in 2006, qualifying in 2008. In recent years Manjunaga has been particularly inspired by the work of Donna Farhi and takes the opportunity of studying with her on a yearly basis. Manjunaga also continues to be inspired by Simon Low’s approach to yoga teaching and practice and attends workshops with him regularly.

Manjunaga has studied Buddhist meditation for over 20 years and hosts yoga & meditation weekends in the Lake District and retreats in Scotland.

Manjunaga views yoga as an awareness practice, offering an opportunity to become more fully embodied in our experience; He feels this allows for a greater sensitivity to our emotional and physical well being, bringing meaningful understanding and positive engagement with the world around us.

Manjunaga teaches regular workshops at The Yoga Rooms on a Saturday afternoons to inspire and help us take our yoga practice deeper. Please check the workshops page for details of his next workshop.
