The first yoga classes Danny attended were Power Yoga, which led him on to a Dynamic Vinyasa Flow class. The connection with the breath in every movement is what initially appealed to him, helping him to be present in the moment. He also attended a wide variety of Hatha Yoga classes and practices meditation daily.
Danny is interested in anatomy and functional yoga: “We don’t use the body to get into a pose – we use the pose to get into the body.” He is more interested in how a posture feels and the benefits gained, rather than how it looks aesthetically. He has a naturally inquisitive mind and regularly studies different approaches of yoga which can benefit the individual.
Danny completed an Independent Yoga Network 200hr Teacher Training in 2019. As a practicing artist and qualified art teacher for many years, he has collaborated with several yoga teachers to provide a series of practical Colour of Yoga workshops, exploring colour theory in practice in relation to yoga.
