We’d like to encourage you to start a yoga practice during this stressful time, so we’re offering our beginners yoga course at a discounted price for this block.
During this course students will learn the basic foundational elements of the Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga practice.
Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga is different from many other yoga classes in that the order of postures is always the same – so in each class you will practice a warm-up sequence followed by sun salutations, standing postures, some seated postures and a modified version of the finishing sequence. Students will learn to how to use mindful breathing throughout to stay calm and focused during the practice. Each class finishes with a relaxation.
This course is perfect for you if you want a physically challenging practice, but are new to yoga. It is also suitable for students who have some other yoga experience, but are new to the ashtanga style of yoga. You will learn how to link movement to your breath and by the end of the course you will have developed more strength and flexibility. If you have any injuries or illness, please let us know before starting the course.
