Run and Yoga Course

You need to be able to run 5k to take part in this class.
- Beginners Plus (Level 1)
This will be a physically distanced group class held at Chorlton Park.
We’ll do a short warm-up together to work through your range of motion and get the right muscles firing for your run. Do a run of approximately 5km around the park, then reward ourselves with an outdoor yoga class.
The yoga will be tailored specifically to a runner’s needs. An opportunity to stretch out achy muscles, build strength and help you breathe easier.
The yoga section will include breath work, vinyasa and yin yoga to complement a training schedule.
Pranayama or breath work will help you to relax, focus and increase your lung capacity.
Vinyasa flow yoga will build your strength, increase flexibility and improve balance.
The session will end with a little yin yoga to release tension in tight areas of the body, improve range of motion and teach you to breathe through mild discomfort, focusing the mind.
The group size will be kept small to ensure we maintain safe physical distancing. It’ll be a great opportunity to exercise in a group again; to enjoy the sense of community and the added motivation this offers.

Please wear suitable running shoes and comfortable clothes. Please bring a yoga mat, bottle of water and a warm layer for after your run.
Hopefully we’ll be blessed with beautiful sunny Manchester evenings, please bring a waterproof if showers are forecast. In the event of adverse weather conditions that could risk injury, the class would be cancelled.
