My Yoga adventure began over 10 years ago. I explored and experienced
many western styles of yoga before I trained with Mr A.G.Mohan, long-time
student of Sri Krishnamacharya, the father of modern yoga. My practice
and teaching are now rooted in this classical Indian tradition, which
follows the ancient teachings of Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras. I also trained
& qualified with the British Wheel of Yoga.
The practice of Yoga is for a peaceful mind and a healthy body. The focus
of the physical practice is to begin with an attitude of acceptance, to
follow smooth breathing and to move in all 3 axes, emphasising the spine.
This practice helps us to develop physical and mental strength and flexibility
so that we can live fully.
At Yoga Rooms I teach a drop-in class for people who want to feel more
in touch with their bodies and steadier in their mind. The class is steadily
paced, emphasising breath awareness, mobilising & strengthening the
spine and focussing the mind. It will help you to feel stronger and more
relaxed in your body; calmer and more aware of what is happening in your
mind.
