I love practicing and teaching yoga. I was first introduced to yoga
in 1999 and have practiced many different styles of yoga since then. I
find combining stronger dynamic yoga poses and vinyasa with gentle yin
and restorative poses helps to create a deep, balanced practice. My classes
are ideal for any level of student who wishes to gain a deeper awareness
of how their body moves.
I have been very fortunate to train with many distinguished teachers including
John and Lucy Scott, David Swenson and Donna Farhi. I have completed my
teacher training diploma with the British Wheel of Yoga and continue to
enjoy deepening my knowledge by attending further training courses.
I strongly believe that yoga should be accessible to everyone. I provide
friendly and accessible classes for all ages and abilities. In my yoga
classes students will gain an understanding of the breath and how this
can be used to energise or calm the body and mind. Postures will be linked
into flowing sequences and modifications are always offered for more challenging
poses. In my Ashtanga class the breath is linked to movement in a fluid
style which creates heat to detoxify the body and clarity to focus the
mind.
Yoga is more than just exercise or breathing techniques... It is a practice
that affects me on a physical, mental and spiritual level to make me a
happy, balanced person. I would like to share that joy with anyone who
wishes to attend my classes.
